GENERAL PROCESS

PHASE 1.  Discovery & Onboarding

The design process starts with the “ONBOARDING QUESTIONNAIRE”, where we explore your needs and learning more about your goals. During this initial interaction, I’ll be able to get to know more about you and your branding/identity.

 

PHASE 2. Visuals Questionnaire

The “VISUALS QUESTIONNAIRE” is similar to the Onboarding Questionnaire, but will address the specific design needs of your project scope. The more information you give me, the more accurate your design concepts will be. It is very important that you send visual references so I have a clear idea of the aesthetic you’re going for. If you’re unsure of the aesthetic, I’m happy to explore that with you. However, keep in mind that I only include 4 rounds of revisions.

 

PHASE 3.  Timeline & Price Quote

Based on the onboarding information I receive, I’ll create a rough timeline and price quote.

 

PHASE 4.  Pay 50% Deposit

I will wait to begin the design process until the first deposit is paid. Deposits must be paid within 7 days of receiving this proposal. Otherwise, the timeline and price may change.

 

PHASE 6.  Brainstorming / Moodboard

During the “Drafting/Brainstorming period, I’ll present a Moodboard of how I envision the designs. We may opt out of this phase if we already have a clear idea on the design.

 

PHASE 7.  Mockups, Feedback & Revisions

4 rounds of mockups and revisions

 

Revisions that exceed 4 revision rounds will be charged at an hourly rate of $40/hr.

In order to stay on track with deadlines, I ask that clients try their best to provide feedback within 4 days.

 

All of our files will be shared in a Google Drive, where you can check out my progress. In addition, you’ll have life time access to this drive so you’ll be able to retreive them in the future if needed.

 

PHASE 8.  Final Payment

Once we sign off on the Final Mockups, the final payment is due

PHASE 9.  Send Final Deliverables

REVISIONS that exceed 4 revision rounds will be charged at an rate of $40/hr.

 

FEEDBACK In order to stay on track, you must provide feedback within 4 days of receiving mockups. If our project timeline gets postponed due to Client Feedback delays, invoices will still be required to be paid on the set date. However, if I, the designer, experience delays, your invoice date will be extended.

 

Should the project lapse past the expected launch date due to excessive days of no-contact in response to feedback, content needs, or unpaid invoices an additional overage fee will be applied. 10 days - $125.00 USD, 15 days - $200.00 USD, 20 days - $300 USD. If the project lapses past 20 days from the projected date of completion the project will be canceled without refund and an additional Project Kill Fee will be added to the invoice.

 

GOOGLE DRIVE Your drive will always be accessible, just in case you need to view or download any files in the future.

 

SOURCE / MOCKUP FILES In order to have ownership of all of the source files and elements created during your project, a copyright license agreement will be created and will incur a licensing fee. This will grant you permission to use the files as needed.

 

PAYMENTS 50% Deposit must be paid to secure the project; Final Payment is required before deliverables are sent,

INVOICING is either per project or monthly, depending on your preference and scope of work.

CAN I EXPEDITE MY PROJECT?

LESS THAN ONE WEEK: A premium basis of 40% of your initial invoice.

LESS THAN TWO WEEKS: A premium basis of 30% of of your intial invoice

CAN YOU HELP WITH DESIGN PROJECTS AFTER THE PROJECT IS COMPLETE?

Of course! After the project is complete, you can always contact me in the future to discuss future projects. Revisions on past projects are charged at an rate of $40/hr.

 

WHAT FILES WILL I RECEIVE? AND WHEN WILL I RECEIVE THEM?

You’ll receive files at the highest industry standard. File types are dependent on which service you purchase.

 

I will deliver to you the digital files containing the final project deliverables within seven (7) business days after you approve them, and after you’ve paid all my outstanding invoices.

 

WHAT ARE THE LICENSING RIGHTS FOR MY FINAL DESIGN FILES?

Upon starting our project, I will ask what your intended use are for the designs. This includes whether or not you intend on using it for online, merchandise, marketing, etc. The pricing may change depending on what your needs are.

 

In exchange, you grant me a royalty-free and permanent license to use representations of the designs and taglines in my portfolio (in all types of media), as a sample of my past works, in trade publications, and educational material, to promote myself, and for competitions.
